Grove City Regional Airport Nets $153,947 in Grants

Funding to Clear Obstructions to Runway 10

The Grove City Regional Airport will receive $153,947 in federal and state aviation funding, according to Senator Bob Robbins and Representative Dick Stevenson.

The Airport will receive the funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Bureau of Aviation to remove obstructions to Runway 10 providing a clear approach.

"I am very pleased that this project is receiving a significant grant," Senator Robbins said. "The project will improve safety and accessibility at Grove City Regional Airport. The truth is smaller airports like Grove City are becoming increasing more important as economic development marketing tools to draw in new businesses."

"This is a major boost for the Grove City Regional Airport and for the region as well," Representative Stevenson said. "I support efforts to improve our local transportation network. Businesses are looking for ways to make travel easier and the shipping of materials more convenient and less time consuming."
