FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins, Brooks Announce PENNVEST FinancingGreenville MA to receive $1,073,700 for new water storage tank The Greenville Borough Municipal Authority will receive $1,073,700 in state financing to help cover the costs to construct a water storage tank, according to State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) and State Representative Michele Brooks (R-17). The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) today approved the low-interest loan for the project, which involves the construction of a 1 million gallon water storage tank. "The borough’s existing 250,000 gallon tank has insufficient capacity for Greenville’s needs. In particular, it doesn’t ensure that there will be enough water on hand in the event of a major fire emergency," Senator Robbins said. "The new treatment tank will address that problem and ensure the borough has enough water to protect public safety and look toward future economic development." "This funding will help make this project more affordable to residents and businesses and allow the Greenville Borough Municipal Authority to move forward with their plans for a new water storage tank," Brooks said. "This is the type of project that not only will ensure the community's continued access to safe and clean water, but also improves water pressure for residents and fire protection while also serving as an emergency water source."
