Senate Adopts Robbins Local Government Resolution
DEDICATES APRIL 12 TO 18 TO COMMEMORATE MUNICIPALITIES
The Senate today adopted Senate Resolution 41, a resolution introduced by
Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) designating the week of April 14 through 18, 2007 as
"Local Government Week" in Pennsylvania.
"Each year, the Senate designates one week to recognize the accomplishments
of local governments and officials. This year, the designated week is April 12
through 18," said Senator Robbins, the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Local
Government Commission. "Local Government Week focuses attention on the need for
strong, independent and active local governments and recognizes the valuable
contributions made by residents serving their communities in elected office."
