Environmental Educations Grants Awarded

McKeever Ctr., Jamestown SD, Mercer Conservation Dist. receive funding

Harrisburg - Three Mercer County organizations recently received state Environmental Education Program grants from the Department of Environmental Protection, according to Senator Bob Robbins (R-50).

McKeever Environmental Learning Center received $6,000 for a three-day educator workshop.

The Jamestown Area School District received $15,000 to revise and write new lesson plans and units in conjunction with existing K-12 curriculum.

The Mercer County Conservation District received $9,975 to develop a teacher workshop and offset school field trip costs to Munnel Run Farm.
