FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins Announces $150K Grant to Saegertown"Safe Water" funding will go toward wastewater treatment facility Saegertown Borough will receive a $150,000 state Safe Water Grant to support its efforts to expand the capacity of its municipal water system, State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) announced today. Saegertown will use the funding to construct one or two new wells to complement its existing five wells. The system currently provides water service to almost 400 customers, including 325 residential users, 17 industrial facilities and 50 commercial customers. "The system, as it stands now, has almost reached full capacity," Senator Robbins said. "This grant will enable the community to expand capacity, which in turn will allow for future development, including industrial expansion and job creation opportunities." The Safe Water Program is administered by the Department of Environmental Resources.
