State Arts Grants Awarded for Local Programs

$17,461 to support efforts in Crawford County

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts recently awarded five grants totaling $17,461 for programs in Crawford County, according to state Senator Bob Robbins (R-50).

The grants include:

  • Two grants to Allegheny College -- $2,618 for the support of its art galleries and $4,517 for the support of its Public Events Committee.
  • Meadville Council on the Arts received $5,119 for support of the council.
  • Titusville Council on the Arts received $4,003 for support of the council.
  • United Community Independence Program received $1,204 for support of the French Creek Valley Community Theatre.

"The arts play an important role in the quality of life of our communities," said Senator Robbins. "I am very pleased that the state provided this financial support for these Crawford County programs."
