State Arts Grants Awarded for Local Programs

$4,682 to support efforts in Mercer County

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts recently awarded four grants totaling $4,682 for programs in Mercer County, according to state Senator Bob Robbins (R-50).

The grants include:

Bach Society received $633 for support of the society.
Greenville Symphony Society received $1,519 for support of the society.
Mercer County Historical Society received $1,614 for support the society's arts programs.
Valley Lyric Opera received $916 for support of the opera.

"The arts play an important role in the quality of life of our communities," said Senator Robbins. "I am very pleased that the state provided this financial support for these Mercer County programs."
