Senator Robbins to DJ for the United Way

Will help mark the Northern Mercer County unit's 60th Anniversary

Reliving a job he performed when discs were big and made of vinyl, state Senator Bob Robbins will take to the mike and serve as a disc jockey for the Northern Mercer County United Way's 60th Anniversary oldies dance on Friday evening.

"While the discs are now smaller and shinier, the music will be pretty much the same," Senator Robbins said. "The Northern Mercer County United Way is just like oldies music, it has stood the test of time and it still does the job today. The truth is, I am looking forward to being there. I am very pleased to be able to help support this worthwhile community organization and have fun at the same time."

The dance for ages 18 and up is set for 7 to 10 p.m. in the Greenville Recreation Center, 45 Alan Avenue.

Glenn Brakeman, a local retired teacher, will also be a guest disc jockey for the evening.

Individuals interested in attending or need additional information about the event may contact Bryan Warner at the Northern Mercer County United Way office at 724-588-4344.
