Robbins Announces Grant for More Port Meadville Airport Improvements

Harrisburg – State Sen. Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the approval of a state grant to help pay for improvements to the Port Meadville Airport Terminal.

Robbins said the $7,000 grant will be used to install six new exterior doors to replace the deteriorating doors originally installed. In October, Robbins announced a $17,000 state grant to pay for roof repairs and structural upgrades at the terminal.

"An effective, safe airport requires constant upgrades and improvement," said Robbins. "I am pleased to be able to announce this support for ongoing improvements to the Port Meadville Airport."

The grant was awarded to the Crawford County Board of Commissioners on behalf of the Crawford County Regional Airport Authority.

The funding was approved by the state Department of Community and Economic Development.
