Robbins Announces $532,587 Grant to Weatherize Mercer County Homes

Harrisburg – State Sen. Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the approval of a $532,587 grant to help reduce energy costs for low-income, elderly and disabled individuals in Mercer County.

Robbins said the grant is being awarded to Mercer County Community Action. to weatherize homes, including heating system modifications, energy education and energy conservation services.

"This program helps needy individuals reduce high energy costs and keep homes warm and safe during cold winter months," Robbins said. "I'm pleased that we can continue this program and reach even more people who may need assistance."

Robbins said the grant was awarded by the state Department of Community and Economic Development through its Weatherization Assistance Program.
