Rod Wilt (R-17) today announced the approval of a $536,250 grant for an important project at Greenville Municipal Airport. The legislators said the grant, awarded by the state Department of Transportation, will pay for runway rehabilitation. "Greenville Municipal Airport and the many smaller airports in our region are a very important part of the area's transportation system," said Robbins. "Dependable airport service is vital for promoting economic development and job creation." "Many local businesses and residents rely on Greenville Municipal Airport for transportation, and this grant will ensure that the runway is maintained for reliable use for years to come," said Wilt. The grant was part of more than $16 million in state and federal funds being awarded to help finance improvements at 31 public-use airports in the Pennsylvania.
