Robbins Announces Mercer County Recycling Education Grant

Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the awarding of state grant to implement a recycling education program in Mercer County.

The $25,000 grant was awarded to the Mercer County Solid Waste Authority, said Robbins.

"A recycling education program will help make sure county residents and businesses are informed about recycling initiatives. It's important that the state provide funding to help the county meet state recycling mandates," said Robbins.

The grant was awarded by the state Department of Environmental Protection, under the Recycling Development and Implementation Grant Program.
