Robbins, Gruitza Announce Farrell Arts Grant

Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) and Representative Mike Gruitza (D-7) today announced the awarding of a state grant to support the annual homecoming celebration in Farrell.

The lawmakers said the $1,850 grant was awarded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts to help pay for the concerts that take place during homecoming.

"The homecoming celebration brings together the community for music and fun, and I am pleased to announce this state support," said Robbins.

"A thriving arts community enriches daily life, and I am pleased to join Senator Robbins in announcing this grant for the City of Farrell," said Gruitza.

Created in 1966, the 19-member Pennsylvania Council on the Arts responds to requests for support of projects initiated by nonprofit groups, institutions and artists. Grants are awarded with input from more than 100 citizens serving on advisory panels.
