Governor Corbett was joined by Senator Bob Robbins, the Secretary of Health (left of Governor), Representative Matt Baker – Chairman of the House Health Committee, staff of the Department of Health and the Pennsylvania State Archives, and representatives of the genealogical community for a bill signing ceremony of SB 361 – now Act 110-2011. SB 361 was prime sponsored by Senator Robbins and will open birth records after 105 years and death records after 50 years as public records and transfer the original records to the Pennsylvania State Archives.
