July 18, 2006 - HARRISBURG, PA - Sen. Robbins (R-50) participated in the unveiling of the Mentored Youth Hunting Program by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the "Mentored Youth Hunting Coalition." The new program provide youth with a hands-on opportunity to be a part of a hunting-like experience in a responsible manner -- under the supervision of a licensed and experienced hunter. Carl Roe, Executive Director of the PA Game Commission presented Senator Robbins a citation for his work on passage of this legislation (Act 86 of 2005). The Mentored Youth Hunting Coalition is comprised of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters "Pass It On" Program; the Central Counties Concerned Sportsmen, the NRA, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Outdoor Writers Association of America, the PA Federation of Sportsmen's Club, the PA Outdoor Writers Association, the Quality Deer Management Association, United Bowhunters, and the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance. |
