Senator Robbins Announces Grant for Leesburg

$73,000 will go toward pneumatic tank replacement

The Leesburg Community Water Association will receive a Community Revitalization Grant in the amount of $73,000 to replace a required pneumatic tank, state Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) announced today.

The Association, which provides service to 76 customers in Springfield Township, Mercer County, must replace a deteriorating pneumatic tank – which is used for chlorination and as a back up system to maintain water pressure. The project is expected to begin this summer and be completed this fall.

"I am very pleased to be able to have secured this grant for Leesburg," Senator Robbins said. "This new tank will ensure that the water system remains functional and provides a dependable supply to its customers, while meeting state requirements."

The Community Revitalization Program is administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.
